Holidays & Gifts

I love the Holidays & I can't wait till Christmas! I love buying gifts for everybody! It's soooo exciting to be able to wander through the stores and pick out out the most wonderful gifts for the most amazing people in my life! The only problem I have is, that I have a hard time keeping my gifts a secret. As soon as I buy something, I want to give it to that person immediately! I can't wait till Christmas day, and the day after(that's when my sister's coming!). I'm so ready to give everybody their special gifts that I bought just for them!!!!  Happy Holidays 2 U !!!

Oh my.....

1 Down, 2 to Go, and a Web Page! I am so ready for this semester to be over! I had my first final exam tonight. The scheduled time for the exam was 8:30-10:30. I don't know about you, but my brain doesn't work to good that late at night, especially when it comes to History and trying to memorize dates. Overall, I think the test went pretty good! Now if I can get through my math test, child development and create a web page! That last part is a kicker for me! I have to "try" to create a web page from scratch, I'm talking about creating an html document in note pad! So, if anyone has any suggestions on this, or any bright ideas, please share.... I am clueless! = )
I was so glad to get my first exam over with, this class has definitely kept me busy, especially during test time!  I have been so over-whelmed this past week, that I feel like I am running out of time to do everything. My room has been a mess, my bathroom has been a mess, my car's a mess, my dog's a mess, and I'm a mess! I was so excited to be able to have time to clean my room and bathroom tonight, that I did it as soon as I got home! It felt so good! Now, I can't wait to clean my car and bathe my dog! Finally, things are getting done, that have been bothering me! And hopefully I will be able to start blogging again, and commenting on blogs too after next week..... I have had no time to do anything fun and exciting outside of school and work! So just hang on tight for one more week, & I will be back soon!

Go Hogs Go !!!

Last night, I had the opportunity to go to the Arkansas Razorback Basketball Game with my wonderful Grandpa! And yes, he is the most wonderful Grandpa in the world! I couldn't have asked for a better grandpa, he's truly an amazing person. But anyways.... We were able to go the the basketball game last night and we had a blast. My grandma was suppose to go too, but she ended up getting sick, so she stayed home... but we still had fun. We found a pretty good parking spot and the Hogs won! What more could you ask for. The first half of the game was every exciting, but then the longer we played, the more we kept scoring, the "boringer" the game got. But it was a great opportunity to spend some time with my Grandad, I hardly ever get to see them, since I'm so busy with school and work. We will definitely be going back! Go HOGS!

It's the Most Wonderful Time....Of the Year!

There's just something about Christmas Decorations. I have always enjoyed putting them up! It use to be tradition, that everyone in my family would gather around and put up the most beautiful Christmas Decorations, the day after Thanksgiving. It never failed! Our house would always be glowing by the end night! Each year, the number of participants just kept getting smaller and smaller. And this year there were just 2. We went from a good 7 people, to 6, to 5, to 4, to 3, and then there were 2. It seemed so quiet this year. No Chirstmas music blareing over the radio, no climbing on the roof, and only 1 Christmas Tree. But the decorations we do have up this year, are wonderful. They're perfect! It's so nice to be able to come home to a beautiful lit yard and a nice warm cozy living room decorated with an amazing Christmas tree, and a fireplace decked out too. We are very fortunate to be able to put up decorations this year, and continue to celebrate the true meaning of CHRISTmas. Happy Holidays to all, and God Bless.

Still Alive.....

Sorry It's been so long since you've heard from me! My weeks seem to be getting busier and busier! With school slowing coming to an end, the assignments just get piled on. I have always hated the end of a semester, teachers seem to get behind, and therefore they punish heir students and play catch up the last couple of weeks. Talk about overwhelming! Oh Well.... I'm almost done right?!?!? On that note, all I have been doing for the last couple of weeks is creating power-points and lesson plans. What do thy think I wana be a teacher or something.... craZy! I actually enjoy creating my own lesson plans! It's a fun way to be creative and an excuse to go out and buy new things....for the lesson plan. I love going into the education stores. I could spend hours in there just oooing and awwwwing over all the cool stuff.....expensive but cool!
I'm also excited because today my sister, brother-in-law, nephews and my brother are coming in for some yummy Turkey! Tonight we are all going over to my grandparents to have a Big Birthday Bash! (Kirby's, Nana's and Grandad's!!!) I love my family more than anything. I couldn't have asked for better parents, grandparents, or siblings. God has truly blessed me. My family means the world to me, and I am very THANKFUL for them!
On the other note, I have to work Friday, but I thought about getting up extra early and going shopping.... just a little bit. But, I was wondering if there are truly that great of deals out there, or is it just a myth? Has anyone ever bought something so great at such a wonderful price? Please share!!! And let me know if it would be worth the time! I have a couple of items in mind that I need to purchase, but I don't even know if they would be on sale.
Well, sorry my post is so short, I have to finish getting ready, take Kiwi to the Groomer's and go to the dentist, and then go to work..... till 6:00! Whooooooo! Busy Day! I hope everybody has a Happy Day!!!

New Hobby!

Here's a picture of my new favorite hobby....
I had a night off with no homework and no school, so I decided to "try" to make a picture frame. This is what I cam up with for my very first frame!

Off 2 See My Brother, The Most Wonderful Brother of All.....

This past weekend I had the privilege to go see my wonderful brother in Harrison. His birthday is actually the 20th, so mom, dad and I headed down there to wish him a Early Happy Birthday since we won't get to see him on his actual Birthday! We got there in time to go to church with him! It's amazing to me how much everyone loved my brother! They think he is the greatest thing  since cell phones.... boy do you have them fooled! Just kidding! My brother is a great guy. He is a strong Christian man with a great heart. Someday, some girl will be very lucky to have him! I couldn't have asked for a better brother. He's always so supportive, and a great role model to me! But anyways, after church we were going to head over to Branson and eat at Lambert's, but we decided to stay in town and eat at Salsa's. If you have never ate at Salsa's then you need to make a special trip over to that neck of the woods just to eat! It is the most wonderful Mexican Restaurant in the world! They seriously have the worlds greatest salsa. After lunch we headed back towards his apartment and celebrated with gifts and cupcakes! Small party, bot lots of fun! And, I can't forget to mention that if anyone runs out of freezer space, just head on over to Kirby's apartment! It's seriously cold enough in there, you could hang meat!!!! Below are some pictures of Kirby's beautiful church, apartment, and some other random pictures! Thanks for a great weekend & it was great seeing you buba!

Why does music hurt so bad?

It's amazing to me how the words to music, or any piece of art changes so much in meaning after you lose a loved one. I don't understand why it hurts so much more, or why certain words to certain songs make you more emotional than others. Even songs that I have heard a million times, and they were JUST songs before, but now they have meaning to them, a lot of meaning. Ever since my beautiful Kiley passed away I have spent more time crying over music than any other thing. It took me several months to even be able to sit through a whole church service without crying during the music. Simple songs that weren't meant to be sad made me cry. Simple praise and worship songs made me cry, and the worst when they sang the traditional and contemporary version of Amazing Grace. It's even hard when you're driving down the road and a song full of different points has so much meaning that it hits the soft spot in my heart that still aches for my sister. I honestly don't know why music has such an impact on my life now. A part of me says its because Kiley loved music so much, and that's an important way I remember her, but why does it have to hurt? Why do the lyrics have to hurt so bad? Can't they be happy lyrics, reminding us of all the good things she did for us? Instead they seem to hurt and cut deeper than ever before. I have heard a lot of wonderful songs with such great meaning since Ki-Ki has passed, but the song I heard early topped the list. I had yet to listen to a song that felt like it was written to me and for me. I feel like this is my song, and Im sure many others can relate to the lyrics too. But, I do know that this is a song that will stick with me forever, I will play it constantly, and hopefully it will help me to continue to find peace. Please save me a seat in Heaven Ki-Ki, I love you and miss you will all my heart. <3 *If you would like to listen to this song, you can go to:

Sorry, I couldn't find the song to on my music playlist.... so this is the best I could find.

"Save a Place For Me"
Matthew West

Don't be mad
If I cry
It just hurts so bad, sometimes
Cause everyday it's sinking in
And I have to say goodbye all over again

You know I bet it feels good to have the weight of this world off your shoulders now
I'm dreaming of the day when I'm finally there with you

(Chorus)

Save a place for me
Save a place for me
I'll be there soon
I'll be there soon
Save a place for me
Save some grace for me
I'll be there soon
I'll be there soon

I have asked the questions why
But I guess the answers for another time
So instead I pray, with every tear
And be thankful for the time I had you here

(Chorus)

I wanna live my life Just like you did
Make the most of my time Just like you did
And I want to make my home up in the sky Just like you did
Oh, but until I get there...Until I get there...

(Chorus)

~Shout Out For Stephanie~

Today, one of my bestest friends is having surgery, so if everyone could shout out a small prayer for her that would be great! We all know she is going to be fine, but somtimes it helps to know that people are thinking about you, and praying for you! Love ya Steph! and Hurry up and get well so you can come back to work!

A busy day off!

Since today is Veterans Day, I got the whole day off from work! Wahooo, thank you Veterans- You're the best! Anyways , so the day off, suppose to be calm, relaxing and fun right? Well, not so much, not when there's a list of things to be done, that you have been putting off.  I do feel pretty good about my day, very productive! Here are some of the things I got accomplished:

1.  Wash my Sheets

2. Washed clothes/towels

3. Went to the Dentist....got my teeth cleaned!

4. Bathed Kiwi

5. Bathed myself! Wahoo! Even better! = )

6. Raked & Bagged Leaves....not Fun!

7. Homework....Fixing to start a 10 page research paper! Again, No Fun....

8. Went to School... Ok Another not so fun thing to do, but got to do it.

Well, I guess that's all, but it sure did feel like more, and like I ran out of time to do everything! Hmmm...... Well on that note, I decided today, that I am going to quit my job, that way I can have every day off! It would be soooo nice! Enough time to get homework done, go to school, and not have to worry about anything, except bills! HAHA...... ok maybe a night job? Days are much longer than nights, so I could work at night since they seem to go by much faster than days! Great Idea!   Well, that was my busy day off! I hope everybody had a wonderful Tuesday/Veterans Day! And Have a Happy Wednesday!

Redneck Woman!

So, I am officially a redneck now! Trey and I have been together for a little over 5 years, and  not once have I been hunting with him. I just think it's seems so sad, and unnecessary to kill a living beautiful animal that was created by God, for no reason. Trey has been begging me for the past 5 years to go hunting with him, just once, so finally, this past Sunday, I gave in. We went out to Goshen, and I was all decked out in my Camo! That was the most fun part.... getting dressed! After we finally got out to Goshen, we had to hike across the pasture, which felt like eternity when your pants are falling off, and they feel like they weigh 100 lbs! I don't think the hike would have been that bad if Trey would have walked in a straight line, and made up his mind where we wanted to go, but he was like a freak'n hound dog on a trail, cuttin' this way than that. We FINALLY found a place to sit, and I tried to entertain myself by playing several games of tetris, and taking pictures of myself, until I got in trouble! "Put that camera away, you're scaring the deer"  What deer I thought to myself, but soon enough here came a beautiful doe out of the woods, we sat and watched her forever! She had no clue that we were there. Well that was fun for the first 30 minutes, but then she got to be pretty boring, So I decided to curl up and take a nap while he sat and stared at her for a good hour. Hmmm... I see where I rank, he wouldn't even look at me out there, and he sits and stares at other women for hours... in front of me! How rude!  = )   Well, finally he decides to get up and move some where else, thank goodness, I was cold, and my bladder was fixing to burst! We were headed back towards the truck, but than he tells me to go get the truck and pick him up by the gate clear in the other field. It's funny to me how he can walk 5 miles no problem out in the deer woods, but it's impossible to talk him into a nice, calm bike ride. Overall, I had fun, kind of boring, but pretty fun! I will go back, as long as he's not killing anything in front of me!

I love Flowers!

There's just something about getting flowers at work unexpectedly! Flower's are a great way to spruce up someone's day when they are down in the dumps, or just needs a little extra cheer. My wonderful boyfriend and my beautiful mommy have both sent me flowers recently. My mom sent me some in September, and Trey sent me some in October, well, it's almost November... am I due for some more flowers yet? = )  Just remember how special it is to receive flowers, and if you know someone that is having a hard time, or a bad day, try to remember to send some love their way! Thanks Mommy and Trey!!!

Somebody say Skunk? Ya... Sally the Skunk!

I just want to start this post off by saying that I did take pictures of this event, so I do have proof! This morning at work, Shawna and I were sitting in the drive-thru, talking away, and all of the sudden she sees a "cat". She runs out the side door, but by the time she looks outside it's already gone. We sit there for a few more minutes, and then she decided to go out to her car to get some information for registering for classes this Spring. The next thing I know she comes running in the building yelling,  "There's a Skunk, There's a Skunk in the Bushes", Telling me to come outside and look at it. NOWAY, I'm not going out there, and getting sprayed by that stinky ole thing! Yes, sometimes skunks have a pleasant smell to them, kind of like coffee, but I don't need any new perfume right now! So, She finally talks me into going out there to see it, because supposedly this is the largest skunk she has ever seen. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen to many skunks before.... that are alive.  Being very cautious, we stand outside and watch for the skunk. She was in the bushes right next to the building. We couldn't see her, but oh my goodness, she sure was making a lot of noise in there. Finally, she comes out, and if that poor little skunk didn't have a glass jar stuck on her head. Yes! A Jar! It's was unbelievable. She was clinging it around on the ground and the brick wall trying to get it off. It was so sad. Well Heather, the Skunk whisperer came out side, got down on the skunks level and started talking to her, and eventually the skunk started walking towards her, and she grabbed a hold of the jar, and the skunk shook it's head back and forth real fast until it finally came off. YAY!! The skunk is free! But poor little Sally, was still limping around, I guess she hurt her foot somehow while trying to get the jar off. Well, after the jar was off, Little, or should I say big Sally hobbled off, without spraying us!

Here's a picture of the poor little skunk, with the jar stuck on her head! You can see how close Heather truly was to Sally!

Here's a closer picture of Sally with the jar stuck on her head.

This was after Heather got the jar off of Sally's head. You can tell she was limping, she's even holding her foot in this picture. Look how pretty she is! I never thought a skunk was petty till I met Sally!

Sally the Skunk as she limps off..... without spraying us.... Hooray!!!

We've been BOO'ED

I have officially decided that I love our neighborhood! Yes, we live with a bunch of young and rich....or in serious debt people, but hey, they know how to have fun! Tuesday morning I checked our front door to make sure that I didn't have any special packages. I I am constantly buying stuff on eBay, so I never know what I am going to get in the mail next! Well, suprisingly, there were not boxes with my name on them, butthere was a cute little Halloween tub filled with Hershey Candy Bars and an adorable Halloween dish towel! We had been Boo'ed! Wahoo. This is awesome. I have noticed lately that all of the houses at the beggining of our sub division have little white pieces of paper hanging on their doors, but I kept wondering, well why dont we get one? Well, we are now involved in the game and we get to hang a piece of paper on our door too! Included in the goody bag is a note with a poem, and some rules exlpaining the game. Next, we are suppose to make 2 copies of the papers provided, and come up with 2 of our own goody bags and BOO 2 more people, who haven't already been Boo'ed! So I immediately jumped on this idea! How Exciting! I made sure I left the house a few minutes early, that way I would time to swing by WalMart, before work. I decided to get (2) Cute little pumpkin shaped trick or treat bags, that say Happy Halloween, butterfingers, milky ways, hersheys, twix and lot's of other fun candy and (2) variety pack of Halloween Cookie Cutters! Thru the goodies in the bag, tossed in some crate paper, and tied a ribbon around the papers that need to be included, and Wha LA... I now have a Boo Gift! Last night when I got home from class, I quietly placed my gift on 2 of our nieghbors front door step! The sad thing was, that they were still there this morning.... = ( Maybe they will find them today, when theres more light! This was so much fun and it gave me something to do besides school and work! I am glad we go Boo'ed!

Fall Photo Fun

One of my most favorite things to do in the fall is have a photo shoot!  Here are some starter pictures, but hopefully there will be lot's more when the leaves start to change..... and when I get more time! Key word: More Time..... haha, funny! Thanks for looking and Enjoy!

My Poor Baby!

Last Thursday night, when I got home from class, mom had mentioned that Kiwi had a funky smell to her. She asked me to look at her ear, and to see if that was where the odor was coming from. Sure enough, I grab her off mom's bed, take her into the kitchen, looked in her poor little ear, and oh my goodness..... MOM, I yelled! My poor little baby had built up wax in her ear, and it was begining to swell, and yes, STINKY! We began to doctor it with the good ole' peroxide and ear mite medicine, hoping that was the problem. But as the weekend approached, poor little Kiwi's ear just got worse. By Sunday she was shaking, whimpering, losing her balance, and could barley stand for a short period of time. She tried to lay down in the bath tub when I gave her bath. She did not feel well at all. Her ear canal was beat red, inflamed and swollen shut. Well, after doing some research on the computer, I had finally convinced myself that she had an ear infection. I had mention the problem to a friend at work, and she had said that her dogs have had the problem before and its a yeast infection in their ear. Hmmmm... that doesn't sound good! So, of course, as you read the symptoms on the internet, your heart begins to race, and your throat begins to dry, because everything they mention on there is BAD.  So I begin to stress, worry and cry. Some of the the sites said that if there canal is swollen shut, then they will have to do surgery to fix it..... Great, her ear canal is swollen shut, completely shut..... o dear! Mom and I finally decide to call the Wedington Animal Hospital and make her an appointment.  I ended up taking her to the hospital on Sunday afternoon, and sure enough, Kiwi has an ear infection. After 2 shots, some pills and some heavy duty ear drops, we journey back home. I could tell Kiwi was starting to feel a little bit better that night. She was finally eating again, and starting to play with her toys! YAY! I think she's going to make it.... and won't even have to have surgery!  Yay Kiwi, your so strong, you go girl!

Bike, Blues & BBQ!

As most of you know, this past weekend was the all time, famous, Bikes, Blues & BBQ. This a a big get together that is held on Dixon Street every year. Well, being the big partier I am, I had to get involved in this tradition! So, Saturday night while I was babysitting i decided to cruise around with Ella on their bike. Let me tell ya, this thing was fast and scary! I was a little nervous at first, but after going around the block a couple of times, I think I finally got the hang of it!
I didn't say it was a motorcycle! Just a Bike, much safer and much more fun! GO BB&BBQ!
