Happy Easter

Tomorrow is Easter, and what an exciting day it truly is. Many people are out buying wonderful treats for goodie baskets or special surprises for those cute little eggs. These things are truly exciting, and what joy it is to wake up in the morning, and find hidden treasures waiting for you on the kitchen table! It is so much fun to get caught up in the bright colors and cheery decorations that Easter has to offer. But, please do not let this holiday slip away without recognizing its true meaning.  It is a time of celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. The time when he overcame death and rose to live in heaven forever. And, because He has risen, we Christians have the hope of eternal life. Please take the time to read Matthew 27:11-66/28:1-20 by yourself, or even better with a loved one or as a family.

If you have any kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews- here's a fun idea you can do with them:
Jelly Bean Prayer
RED IS FOR THE BLOOD HE GAVE.GREEN IS FOR THE GRASS HE MADE.
YELLOW IS FOR THE SUN SO BRIGHT.
ORANGE IS FOR THE EDGE OF NIGHT.
BLACK IS FOR THE SINS WE MADE.
WHITE IS FOR THE GRACE HE GAVE.
PURPLE IS FOR HIS HOUR OF SORROW.
PINK IS FOR OUR NEW TOMORROW.

A BAG FULL OF JELLY BEANS
COLORFUL AND SWEET,
IS A PRAYER, IS A PROMISE,
IS A SPECIAL TREAT
MAY THE JOY OF CHRIST'S RESURRECTION
FILL YOUR HEART AND BLESS YOUR LIFE.

Happy Easter Everyone!
